New Pesticide Registration Policy (1/13/17)

The Department of Energy and Environment recently announced changes to its pesticide registration policy for products with multiple packaging sizes. The Department has historically required separate registrations for each container size of pesticide products bearing the same brand name, but has now updated its policy so that only one registration is required for products bearing the same brand name and where net contents or net weight is the only difference in labeling. To ensure consistency and fairness among all manufacturers, including those who have already submitted their registrations under the current policy, the Department is holding off implementation of the changes until the next fiscal year. The Department will be issuing a notification letter to registrants officially announcing the change in the near future.
