The Cosmetics Regulation ((EC) No 1223/2009) is continuously being adapted to technical progress and to reflect new safety data on cosmetic products ingredients. Additionally, other Regulations may affect any ingredients used in cosmetic products. This article reviews those ingredients which might become regulated in the next few months, and discusses the rationale behind this.
