- Mapping & assessing the impact of the use of substances in the value chain
- Assessing alternatives and trade-offs, clarifying essential use, and substitution planning
- Preparing regulatory approvals & policy positions
- Emerging issues (e.g. endocrine disruptors, persistent substances such as PFAS, polymers)
- Assessing risk to health & environment of products, chemicals, contaminants, impurities & their breakdown products
- Horizon scanning
- Evaluating claims, labelling and reporting
Our markets
TSG Consulting works across most sectors, specializing in those markets where sustainability goals present the biggest challenges and opportunities and where the regulatory environment is complex, such as chemicals, consumer products and food & beverage.
Chemicals & materials
We work with industrial and specialty chemical companies, helping them position for upcoming regulations and assess their product portfolios to identify opportunities and risks.
Manufacturing industry
We help a broad range of manufacturers across the supply chain, including OEMs (e.g. aerospace, electronics, 3-D printers) and suppliers (sealants, adhesives, inks) bring their products to market. We also work with them to substitute substances of high concern, considering the effectiveness of alternatives and socio-economic impacts.
Consumer
Various consumer product sectors – including personal care and cosmetics, electronics, apparel, and household cleaning supplies – work with us on many aspects of sustainability. We help them create products that are designed and developed with sustainability in mind for their entire lifecycle: material selection, production processes, consumer usage and end of life.
Food & beverage
We work with companies that manufacture and rely on food packaging, contact materials and additives, as well as the food & beverage sector itself, on all aspects of sustainability. Packaging has been a big focus for this sector, as well as food waste reduction strategies, recycling logos and alternative sources of protein.
Agrochemicals & biocides
We provide regulatory and scientific support to producers and distributors of plant protection and health products. For nearly 30 years we have helped biologicals companies bring their microbial entities, natural substances and semiochemicals onto the market in Europe and North America.
